Sunshine in January!

Twenty four years ago a man named Rufus became a big part of our family. My mom and brother Jacob went on a dive trip to the Bahamas and Rufus was another traveler. He befriended my brother since he was traveling alone and from then on has made a huge bond with our family. Three months after they met Rufus, he traveled up to our cold, wet corner of the world and met the rest of our family. We've kept in contact through the years and he visited once or twice. BUT since Jacob got married (on Rufus' bday) he decided to make the journey again and celebrate with us. The thing about Rufus is, he almost died this last year. He was having some serious health issues but since has been able to get them taken care of and he even retired! We've all very much enjoyed having him and hope that he can make another trip up this summer! Before he left, I wanted to go to lunch with him and my little family and get some good pictures.

This is Sawyer taking her morning nap and Colston asking for "JUICE."
We had lunch across the street so we decided to walk and enjoy the sunshine... in JANUARY.
All bundled and ready to go!
My boys... they're pretty much twins.
This would be C looking down the train tracks yelling, "OMIS! CHOOO CHOOO!" (Thomas)

Angela decided to come also! It was great... and the food was good. Sawyer slept the WHOLE time.

Later in the day:
We had to make a run to Costco and decided to make a little date of it. We dropped the kids off at Brandon's mom's house so she could love on them before she had to go to work. It was fun to visit too!
Me waiting for Brandon to pump the gas...
These are the shoes I got the day I had Sawyer while we walked around the mall. I love them.
After we got home and fed, the kids took their first bath together. It was pretty sweet... hahaha
A little pre-bed play time. He spilled some hot chocolate on his shirt... well actually just let it fall out of his mouth. One of his favorite things to do lately. Drives me nuts. Sometimes he keeps juice in his mouth so he can spit it randomly around on the carpet, toys, or the couch. It's wonderful....
And little missy all tuckered out... She's so sweet.

My favorite pictures are the ones where they both have their hands ion their pockets, and the one where Brandon is swinging colston around. You should frame them and put them up on the wall!
