HOOPFEST 2010

Hoopfest is held in Spokane, WA every summer. It is the biggest three on three basketball tournament in the country drawing in around 250,000 people both playing and just attending. Brandon got a team together for the second time. Though his team didn't do very well it was still fun getting to go spend time with good friends and just be away from home.
We stopped at our favorite little place to eat in Cascade Locks. DELICIOUS.

B and his burger

At a rest stop. Jay wanted to climb the tree so I took a picture.

Our little Buddy Man. (here is where he took his first little step with help. Don't believe me? B and Jay were there. They saw it too!)

Just loving being outside with Daddy

Jay, Erek, Anthony and Brandon. Team name... Ninja Turtles. Brandon was the red one Ü

Colston wanting to be like his Daddy

Brandon shoots!

They got killed.... sad but true.

Colston and aunt Amber

My beautiful friend Stephanie and her son Brayden at lunch in the mall that was PACKED with soooo many people.

After we were done with Hoopfest, we headed up north to a lake. Not sure what it's called but I know it was 15 miles from the border to Canada. It was a beautiful day and the boys loved swimming.

Brandon just checking on Colston. I LOVE this picture so much.

LOVEBIRDS

Colston really did love the water... hahaha
After the lake we headed to this little cabin on the river where we ate a BBQ dinner. It was sooo pretty. Here is our family.

Just me and my cute baby in his awesome new shorts

Another little family picture.

The inside of the cute little cabin

I had to add this picture because often times you can catch me, Brandon or Brittney doing this while singing our own versions of the circle of life song from Lion King. Ha... it's pretty funny.

On our way home, we found the Columbia River. Most of you reading this will think, the Columbia River in the Gorge? No. Jay went the wrong way and added a few hours to our drive home and took us the SEATTLE way. Ha... But this stop was breath taking and we never would have seen it otherwise.

We're friends for life... and don't worry. Colston was in his carseat at our feet. Im not a bad mom... I don't leave my kid in the car. Ü

SEEEE...

It was so pretty

And that's our trip to Spokane. Even if the boys lost, took the wrong turn on the way home, and arrived at our house around 2 am, Colston did WONDERFULLY in the car and we all had such a good time. I love making memories with such great friends!

Its a lot of fun to go places with your family. Road trips are fun. You get to eat things you normally wouldn't!

Brandon needs to grow a man beard (like I suggested) to look more like rafiki to pull off the Lion King. I used to do the same thing with my cat though, and when she'd scratch me I'd throw her on the couch... cats land on all fours but kids do not, so don't try that with colston if he gets fussy ;) ahah

Ummmmm, also.. thank you for getting lost in America. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
